Yes, we can definitely add multiple accountants, mark166.
If you're using the Advanced version of QuickBooks Online, we can invite up to 3 accountants/accounting firms. In Simple Start, Essentials, and Plus plans, we can add up to 2 accountants.
Also, please know that only the admins and accountants users can invite accounting firms. Here's how to do it:
- Click the Gear icon.
- Select Manage Users.
- Go to the Accounting firms tab.
- Enter your accountant's email address.
- Select Invite.
Once you're done your accountant will receive an email from us. It has your business’s name and a message that includes "Accept Invitation.” Just have them click the button to be routed to the account creation page. Then, sign in or enter their information to complete the process.
I also encourage reading this article to know different levels of access and the number of users you can add to your QuickBooks Online plan.
Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any other concerns or questions. Stay safe.

- Select the Accounting firms tab.
- Enter the accountant's email address and click the Invite button.
They'll receive an email invitation with instructions on how to accept it.

Hello @dporter64089,
Let's try inviting your accounting using a private browser. Let me walk you through how.
- CTRL+SHIFT+N for Chrome.
- CTRL+SHIFT+P for Firefox.
Once done, open your QBO account and follow the above steps to invite your accountant. If it's working fine, you can clear the cache of your regular browser. This process will repair the damage cache data of your browser that's causing issues like you have with your save button.
If you're getting the same results, please contact our Customer Care Support so we can investigate further. Here's how to reach out.
- In your QBO, go to (?) Help and then Contact Us.
- Enter a brief description of your case, then Let's talk.
- Click Get a call. Type your info and then Confirm my call.
I'll also share with you this awesome article about adding an accountant to review your accounting in QuickBooks Online that I'm sure you'll find helpful. This gives your accountant access to all of your accounting info plus they have accountant-specific tools to help them do their reviews.
You can always swing by anytime if you have other questions or concerns. I'm here to lend a hand. Thanks for posting and have a great rest of the week.

Hi there, Denola.
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community. This isn't the kind of feeling that I'd wish you to have, and we know how much time it can take when something isn’t working the way you need it. I also appreciate the troubleshooting steps you've done to fix the issue about inviting an external accountant. With this, I'll make sure to share different details so you can start adding an accountant to review your books, make corrections, and fix any tricky transactions.
Each version of QuickBooks is designed to address specific business needs. With that, it might be you're using the QuickBooks Self Employed and that is the reason why you can't seem to find the accounting firm tab. If so, you'll have to go to the profile ⚙ icon and choose Accountant.
Here's how:
- Sign in to QuickBooks Self-Employed.
- Click the profile ⚙ icon.
- Choose Accountant.
- In the Invite your accountant field, enter your accountant's email address. Then, select Send invite.
- Hit Done.
Once done, the invitation is sent to the accountant. Then, after they accept it, they are provided with access to your data through QuickBooks Online Accountant. You can click this article to see additional info: Invite an accountant to review your accounting in QuickBooks Self-Employed.
However, if you're using the QuickBooks Online account, I suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team since the issue persists after performing the steps you've mentioned. They have the tools to check your account and investigate the cause of the problem.
Please refer to this article to view instructions on how you can remove an accountant from your QuickBooks Online in case you don't want your accountant to have access to your books anymore: Invite an accountant to review your accounting in QuickBooks Online.
Should you have any questions about users, or anything else, please let me know. Have a good day.

Allow me to share some information to add your accountant in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @becsdawson.
You can see the Manage users feature when you're login as the Primary Admin or Company Admin in QBO. If you have standard user access given by the admin, this option is unavailable when set up with limited permissions.
However, if you don't see this feature with admin privileges, I recommend logging in to QBO in a private browser and inviting your accountant from there. This mode can help avoid cache files that continue to pile up in the background, making QuickBooks unable to load some features.
Run a supported browser, and then follow these shortcuts:
- Ctrl+Shift+N for Google Chrome.
- Ctrl+Shift+P for Mozilla Firefox.
If you successfully see the Manage users feature, I suggest clearing the browser's cache. It helps clean the browser's cache to start fresh and load new online application data. Alternatively, you can use another supported browser to run QBO.
I've added articles for more details on how to add an accountant to your QBO company and update access rights:
- Invite an accountant to review your accounting in QuickBooks Online
- User types and user permissions in QuickBooks Online
- Add, delete, or change user access
Count me in if you need further assistance with managing users or accounting firms. I'll be here to keep you up. Stay safe and well!

Let's make sure you'll be able to sign in to your account, LarryM2.
Logging into your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account is quick and easy. You'll just have to make sure you're using the correct email address you used to sign up for your account. I've attached a screenshot for your guide.
If you have multiple companies, you'll be asked to confirm the account you want to sign in with. You can select Yes, that's correct if the account displayed is the one you want to access. To give you more information about adding another company, I've added this article for more details: Create or Add Another Company File To QuickBooks Online.
On the other hand, if you're having issues when logging into your account, go through these articles for your reference:
