My QBO browser tab keeps crashing. It is very frustrating because it usually happens in the middle of data entering a batch of data and I have to start over.

I know how hard it is when the program crashes when you're working in the middle of entering a batch of data, @askc. I've come to provide a solution to keep your QuickBooks Online (QBO) running smoothly and efficiently.
Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to rule out the possibility of a webpage issue. At times, the browser stores frequently accessed data, which can result in unusual behaviors in any online platforms, including QBO. Let's access your account using a private browser by following the keyboard shortcut keys below.
- Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
- Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ + Shift + N
- Mozilla Firefox: Shift + Ctrl + P
- Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + N
Once it works, return your regular browser and clear its cache to refresh the website's preferences. You can also use the different supported browsers as an alternative.
For future reference, you can check this article when you want to know how to improve your system performance: Why is my QuickBooks Online slow?
Feel free to revisit this forum if you have additional questions when performing different tasks with QuickBooks Online. We're always around to help.

I have also been experiencing frequent tab crashes in Firefox when using Quickbooks online. Although the incognito solution works, it is very inconvenient to my work flow. Crashing usually happens when working in a new invoice or purchase order. After clearing the cache the problem does not resolve in a regular browser. This never happened prior to the most recent changes.
I have found that crashes seem to be prevented if you SAVE after you enter in the first item on an invoice or a PO, but that is just another step I shouldn't have to take.
Quickbooks, please fix this!

I truly appreciate the detailed information you've shared regarding your experience when navigating QuickBooks Online (QBO), Rikki. Your insights provided me with an idea of how we can address this. Thank you also for taking the time to perform the basic troubleshooting steps.

@SarahannC 'Seamlessly' seems to be a strong word when every other QBO thread has a staff member telling customers to clear their cache.
Protip: QBO is *literally* the only online product I have *ever* seen have problems with cache build-up, let alone on this scale and regularity.
Just a thought.
