I agree with this new "requirement".  It is confusing and I'm not convinced of the "security"reasons for doing it.  I think it is more of a way in eventually forcing you into the online version.  This is the last straw for me.  I had been looking for a replacement for all of my customers and it looks like I need to speed up the process.  My customers have had problems with encryption of fields within their database files with the new versions so I have stopped migrating them off of the 2018 version to the newer version.  I'm wondering now if there is a way to migrate back to the older version without going to backup and re-entering transactions.  Sad indeed, but I have seen the writing on the wall for some time.
