I have contacted the Bank because the more I thought about it, it appears to be a coding issue on their part.  Indeed, that looks to be the case because it was being coded by the bank as a regular payment even though it was applied only to interest.  This being the case, when QB downloads the bank data, it appears to QB that it is a principal only payment instead of interest (which should not affect the balance). 

 

Anyway, think I've got the situation solved.  Thank you for your help.
