These instructions do not work because most of the text relates to Windows. I spent a good amount of time with a great tech support person from QB and she knew right away what to do. I have 2 Macs and we worked on one together and she sent me an email with directions for the other and I was able to do it with no problem. One of the macs is set up for MAIL and the other is for Outlook. Both work perfectly and I can save to draft folder on both before sending. Just a note that the problem begins with the R5 update which was what installed with my QB2020 for Mac . The uninstall is required because the setup has to be done with the R4 version.

Clean-Install QuickBooks Mac
Step 1: Uninstall QuickBooks Mac Desktop
1. Close QuickBooks.
2. Go to the Finder menu, then select Applications.
3. Drag the QuickBooks icon to the Trash.
Step 2: Remove QuickBooks PLIST files
User PLIST
1. Hold down the Option key on your keyboard.
2. On top of your screen , click 'GO' then select Library.
3. Open the Preferences folder.
4. Find PLIST files that contains 'com.intuit' then move them to the Trash.

5. Empty the trash.

 

System PLIST
1. From a new Finder window, open the Macintosh HD.
2. Go to Library, then Preferences folder.
3. Find PLIST files that contains 'com.intuit' then move them to the Trash.
4. Empty the trash.
Step 3: Restart your device

Step 4: Reinstall QuickBooks

Allow QB notification on Mac:
1. Click Apple > System Preferences > Notifications.

2. Enable Notifications for QB.

To test the resolution:

1. Open QB.
2. Go to any invoices and send to yourself.

3. When you see a pop-up message asking if you want QB to work or synch with your Mail App, click ALLOW.
