These instructions do not work because most of the text relates to Windows. I spent a good amount of time with a great tech support person from QB and she knew right away what to do. I have 2 Macs and we worked on one together and she sent me an email with directions for the other and I was able to do it with no problem. One of the macs is set up for MAIL and the other is for Outlook. Both work perfectly and I can save to draft folder on both before sending. Just a note that the problem begins with the R5 update which was what installed with my QB2020 for Mac . The uninstall is required because the setup has to be done with the R4 version.
