Buy nowI have had the same experience. Started experiencing this problem with QB2019. Upgraded to QB2022 in March hoping it would fix it. Today I spent 2.5 hours on the phone with Level 1 tech support. After 2.5 hours I was told they were sending me an email with troubleshooting procedures (the same procedures we already went through.) When I asked if I could pay for someone to look at my data file I was told that service wasn't available.
I continued to research on the Community Board and came across this article/step that solved the problem for me. Just updating my Preference file to tell the system NOT TO SAVE THE DESKTOP on closing, solved the problem. Give this a try, and here is the link. If you have a large report or several windows set to open automatically, it can freeze QuickBooks when it starts on startup. To prevent them from opening:

Once you open your company file, turn off the save when closing feature:
