I can only imagine the hurdle you've been through in fixing the alignment issues when printing 1099-NEC, @Kristi27.

 

I've got additional information to share with you about managing Company Preferences in QuickBooks Desktop. This will us with remapping 1099.

 

Here's how you can do it:

  1. Open the Edit menu then select Preferences.
  2. Click on Tax 1099.
  3. Under Company Preferences, click on Yes, I send 1099s.
  4. Select Map form 1099 Misc > Omit these payments from 1099.
  5. Once done, go back to the Edit menu.
  6. Select Preferences then Company Preferences.
  7. Click on Yes, I send 1099s then Map form 1099 NEC.
  8. Lastly, click on NEC: Box 1 Nonemployee Compensation.
