I can only imagine the hurdle you've been through in fixing the alignment issues when printing 1099-NEC, @Kristi27.
I've got additional information to share with you about managing Company Preferences in QuickBooks Desktop. This will us with remapping 1099.
Here's how you can do it:
- Open the Edit menu then select Preferences.
- Click on Tax 1099.
- Under Company Preferences, click on Yes, I send 1099s.
- Select Map form 1099 Misc > Omit these payments from 1099.
- Once done, go back to the Edit menu.
- Select Preferences then Company Preferences.
- Click on Yes, I send 1099s then Map form 1099 NEC.
- Lastly, click on NEC: Box 1 Nonemployee Compensation.
