I did find a viable "fix" for this situation some of you may find useful. 

1. Go to Downloaded Transactions
2. Click "Renaming Rules"
3. Find and delete the entry that is misnaming / miscategorizing the transaction
4. Correctly rename the Downloaded Payee" under the "Payee" and assign the correct Class

This works perfectly for me.
