Yes, you can do progress invoicing in QuickBooks Online while using an iPad, Clare.

If you're going to use the QBO mobile app, you cannot specifically do progress invoicing. You can only create the regular invoices. You can check out this link for comparison of the available features: Compare mobile app features.

Instead, you can access your QuickBooks Online account using a browser. Doing this would give you all the available feature that you can use the same way you access your account on a computer browser. Check out this article for the browser requirement to get the best result: QuickBooks Online access for mobile devices.

Here's the quick steps to do it:

  1. Open a browser on your iPad.
  2. Log in to your account using this URL: https://qbo.intuit.com/.
  3. Create a progress invoice just like you always do on a computer browser.

After you create the progress invoices successfully, you can already send it to your customers and collect the payments.

Keep us posted if you have additional queries in creating invoices or other transactions on mobile devices. Have a safe and enjoyable trip!
