Hello, RachelH3ll.

I've got your back on aligning checks and deposit slips in QuickBooks Online (QBO), RachelH3ll.

Before printing your deposit slips, there are a few steps we’ll have to perform. This is to ensure the information on the transaction prints in the correct areas of the pre-printed form.

Let’s start by printing a sample deposit. The process will help us check how it lines up with the deposit slip form. I recommend using blank paper to save your slips.

Here’s how:

  1. Go to the New menu at the top and select Bank deposit.
  2. Click the Print menu located at the bottom of the page and choose Setup and alignment.
  3. On the Print deposit slip setup page, press the View preview and print sample button.
  4. Hit the Print option.
  5. Place your printed sample deposit slip on top of a blank pre-printed form and hold both up to the light.
  6. If the printed information lines up with the correct areas of the form, select YesI'm finished with setup in the Print window.
  7. If not, choose No and continue with the setup.

If we continue to get the same result, set up the Adobe Reader and fine-tune the alignment. Here’s an article that will guide you through the procedure: Set up and print deposit slips.
