Account management
Hello, RachelH3ll.
I've got your back on aligning checks and deposit slips in QuickBooks Online (QBO), RachelH3ll.
Before printing your deposit slips, there are a few steps we’ll have to perform. This is to ensure the information on the transaction prints in the correct areas of the pre-printed form.
Let’s start by printing a sample deposit. The process will help us check how it lines up with the deposit slip form. I recommend using blank paper to save your slips.
Here’s how:
- Go to the New menu at the top and select Bank deposit.
- Click the Print menu located at the bottom of the page and choose Setup and alignment.
- On the Print deposit slip setup page, press the View preview and print sample button.
- Hit the Print option.
- Place your printed sample deposit slip on top of a blank pre-printed form and hold both up to the light.
- If the printed information lines up with the correct areas of the form, select Yes, I'm finished with setup in the Print window.
- If not, choose No and continue with the setup.
If we continue to get the same result, set up the Adobe Reader and fine-tune the alignment. Here’s an article that will guide you through the procedure: Set up and print deposit slips.
