How to I DELETE an employee record (NOT ARCHIVE) from TSheets / QB Time?
Hi,
When we were first setting up and trying out TSheets, we set up some test accounts which we want to delete forever from QB Time. They're causing confusion in the Archive with real former employees. Must be some way to DELETE from the archive?
Thanks!
Susana

Welcome to the Community, sysab.
Team members can be removed by archiving their profiles. This is the equivalent of deleting them.
Here's how:
- Sign in as an admin.
- In your left navigation bar, go to My Team.
- Find the team member you want to delete, then click your Vertical Ellipsis (⋮) icon next to their Last Activity column.
- Select Archive.
- Press Confirm.
I can certainly understand how an ability to completely remove them from your books could be useful and have submitted a suggestion about it as of today.
You can also submit your own feature requests while signed in:
- In the left navigation bar, go to My Team or Customers.
- Click your Suggest Idea button.
- Enter the suggestion(s) in your Idea field.
- Select Send Idea.
Your feedback's definitely valuable to Intuit. It will be reviewed by our Product Development team and considered in future updates. You can find recent news about QuickBooks Time by reviewing the QuickBooks Blog.
I've additionally included a detailed resource about managing team members that may come in handy moving forward: Add and manage team members
Please feel welcome to send a reply if there's any questions. Have an awesome weekend!

I was wondering if anything has come from this? I have about 70 past employees that I have archived that I want to completely delete. It is a pain to deal with archived employees when I add vacation time to current employees and have to sort through the archived employees at the same time.

This is why I'm here as well. It is frustrating to have to scroll thru so many archived employees. I wish there was a way to completely delete them from the account!
Hoping for a solution.

I appreciate you for joining in on this thread, @Rxm construction.
I can see how convenient it is to permanently delete employees in QuickBooks Time. For the time being, you can archive them, which is also similar to deleting an employee.
You can always submit a feature recommendation and send it to our product developers. To do that:
- Go to the Gear icon.
- Under Profile, select Feedback.
- Provide your feedback and click Next.
I'm also adding these articles if you want to link your QuickBooks Time with QuickBooks Desktop or QuickBooks Online:
- Setup and use QuickBooks Desktop for Windows and QuickBooks Time integration.
- Set up your QuickBooks Time account in QuickBooks Online or QuickBooks Online Payroll
Feel free to come back to this thread if you need further help with managing your employees in QuickBooks Time. Stay safe.

Archiving is absolutely NOT the same as deleting them. We have an employee that was duplicated somehow and the timesheet goes to the wrong employee in Quickbooks.
