I'd like you to know that our engineers are still working to identify the reason behind the error "There was an error communicating with the QuickBooks Payments Service. Please try again later." when enabling the ACH e-invoice option.
For now, to get your work done, you may consider processing credit card payments within your QuickBooks for Mac company file.
To do that:
- Go to the Customers menu.
- Choose Receive Payment to apply the payments to an invoice.
- Enter the customer and transaction information.
- Select the credit card Payment Method (Pmt. Method).
- Click OK, Charge, or Save to process the transaction.
- If you select Visa, MC, AMEX, or Discover, type the credit card info in the displayed window and press the Process option.
