I have an update notification and have performed the update 8 times. Each time it goes through the update process but the message does not clear. I have also rebooted my computer but the message still remains.

Hello there, @Stacy5.
I appreciate you performing some troubleshooting steps to get past the update notification message.
As mentioned by @BigRedConsulting, it'd be best if you could provide details on the exact message you encounter. It'll help us find a solution to the problem.
In the meantime, we can run the Quick Fix my Program and QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool from the QuickBooks Tool Hub to run a quick fix on your software. Here's how:
- Download and install the QuickBooks Tools Hub.
- Open the QuickBooks Tool Hub, then select Program Problems.
- Click Quick Fix my Program.
- When the tool finishes, start QuickBooks Desktop and open your data file and try to activate it.
- If it still does not fix the issue, select the Installation Issues in the QuickBooks Tool Hub.
- Select QuickBooks Install Diagnostic Tool. Let the tool run. It can take up to 20 minutes.
Once done, restart your computer and open the QuickBooks data file, then activate it.
For more details about this step, you can check this article: QuickBooks Desktop doesn't start or won't open.
Please let me know how things go on your end. I want to ensure this gets resolved for you. Take care and have a great day.

Let me help you from here, @Stacy5.
I appreciate you getting back to us and providing us with a screenshot of the error message you are getting.
Based on your screenshot, the pop-up is not an error message for updates. Instead, it is a notification for the overdue invoices and recurring transactions. No worries, you can quickly turn it off.
Follow the steps below:
- Open a company file.
- Go to Edit.
- Choose Preferences.
- Select General from the left panel.
- Under My Preferences, tick the checkbox to Turn off pop-up messages for products and services.
- Click OK.
Additionally, you can check this article for new updates of your QuickBooks Desktop 2022: What’s new in QuickBooks Desktop 2022.
Comment to this thread if you need more clarifications about the pop-up messages in your QuickBooks Desktop.
