Hello there, @LarrysC,
I understand how it can be frustrating when the conversion tool isn't working. I respect your decision, but I want you to know that we're here to help complete the migration.
For security reasons, running the tool needs the data access credentials. This is to ensure the correct Sage 50 company file is being converted into QB Enterprise 2019. To help fix this, I suggest going back to the first to the last steps through the article provided by my peers above: Conversion Tool.
Once converted, the Enterprise version allows you to manage your accounting and business needs efficiently and with ease. To help you get more helpful tips, tools, training videos, and customer success stories, I recommend checking out our Customer Resource Center.
In Community, we’re here on your side to get your questions answered. This way, it will help improve your experience. For more frequently asked questions about the program, here's the article you can refer to: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/enterprise/resources/faq/.
Please know that I'm just a reply away if you have other concerns. Take care.

Thanks for joining this conversation, @cindyherrmann1.
Transferring from Sage 50 to QuickBooks doesn't require date range. All of the data from previous years will carry over, except for the following:
- Paychecks (will be converted as journal entries)
- Employee Year-To-Date (YTD) information
- Payroll Items
- Individual employee wage or deduction information
- Fixed Asset items
- Work tickets
- Closed or partially closed Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, and Estimates
What the conversion tool can covert are the following:
- Account Lists
- Employee Lists
- Item Lists
- Customer Lists
- Vendor Lists
- Account balances
- Customer transactions
- Vendor transactions
- Employee List information including contact information and Social Security number
- Payroll General Ledger account balance information
For additional information, such as the system requirements and steps on how to run the conversion, check out this article: Converting from Sage 50 using the Conversion Tool.
Please post again if you have any other questions or concerns. I'm always here to help. Have a great day!

I just purchased QBO, (I am currently using Sage 50 US) I was told by the sales rep that it was easy to transfer all of the company date (transactions, invoices, vendors, inventory etc) from my Sage program to QBO. I was also told should i have any issues, a Tech support person would jump online, log into my computer and assist. Based on that info I rang up Tech support to get the process going. Seems there is no live tech support, (or at least I could not figure out how to get them) and the person i chatted with, told me i need to call Sage tech support to get them to assist me in transferring the company date.... is this true? I have to assume there is a method of doing this, however the only one i can find is transferring from Sage 50 to QB desktop, not QB online. (my understanding is QB and QBO ae two entirely different products) Looking forward to hearing from anyone.

You are correct. Install the trial license of QBD 2020 to convert your company file and migrate it to QBO. Otherwise, consider purchasing a 3rd party migration service.

Hi . I want to know if you can make the conversion of a file containing data in SAGE 300 to Quickbooks premier edition 2020. We are a junior mining company and do not have customers, inventories; therefore we do not issue invoices or control inventories.

@Anonymous
You may export all of your data out to XLS and utilize TPImporter
https:// transactionpro.grsm.io/qbd
Otherwise, check our profile name and send your business email address in a private message to us. We may help to convert your company file later.

OK I'll do it as soon as I receive the data information from the acquired company that uses Sage 300.
Thanks

Hey, @David_Sotomayor.
Congrats on making your first post here in the Community. At this time, there isn't a way to process Sage 300 to QuickBooks Desktop. However, you can convert lists and reports by saving them as an Excel .CSV file to successfully move them to QuickBooks.
Here are some lists and reports you'll need from Sage 300:
Lists
- Vendors
- Customers
- Employees
- Inventory/Items
- Accounts
Reports
- A/P Aging Detail
- A/R Aging Detail
- Trial Balance
- Balance Sheet
After you have saved reports and lists, I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team to help you import this information. They have more advanced tools to ensure the data imports successfully.
If you have any other questions, please don't hesitate to ask. I'm always here to lend a helping hand. Take care!
