Thanks for joining this conversation, @cindyherrmann1.

Transferring from Sage 50 to QuickBooks doesn't require date range. All of the data from previous years will carry over, except for the following:

  • Paychecks (will be converted as journal entries)
  • Employee Year-To-Date (YTD) information
  • Payroll Items
  • Individual employee wage or deduction information
  • Fixed Asset items
  • Work tickets
  • Closed or partially closed Sales Orders, Purchase Orders, and Estimates

What the conversion tool can covert are the following:

  • Account Lists
  • Employee Lists
  • Item Lists
  • Customer Lists
  • Vendor Lists
  • Account balances
  • Customer transactions
  • Vendor transactions
  • Employee List information including contact information and Social Security number
  • Payroll General Ledger account balance information

For additional information, such as the system requirements and steps on how to run the conversion, check out this article: Converting from Sage 50 using the Conversion Tool.

Please post again if you have any other questions or concerns. I'm always here to help. Have a great day!
