The Script Error prompt in QuickBooks happens when the internet settings of the default browser are incorrect or misconfigured. To resolve the issue, please make sure to add QuickBooks as a trusted website.
Here's how:
- Open Internet Explorer.
- Click on the Gear (⚙️) icon and choose Internet Options.
- Go to the Security tab and click on the Sites button.
- Add *.intuit.com to trusted sites. Note: It is recommended that you remove all other websites about intuit.com from the list of websites, as *.intuit.com will cover all Intuit sites.
- Close the Trusted sites window.
- Uncheck Enable Protected Mode and click on Apply.
- Close Internet Explorer
If the issue persists after doing the steps, I would recommend calling our Support. They have the resources to check your file and fix the update error.
