Based on the screenshots provided, your version of mobile app has been included to the redesigned feature. The purpose of the change in the navigation view is for the users to have a quicker selections since the Shortcuts tab are already has centered boxes. What makes it more convenient is that these tabs includes those activities or task that most commonly used.
