Let's run the Verify and Rebuild utility tool, taxesrita.

This will detect any issues in your company file and corrects them. Just make sure to create a backup copy of your company file beforehand.

To run the tool:

  1. Go to the File menu and hover over Utilities.
  2. Select Verify Data.
  3. Then, let the tool check your file for data issues.

If the tool detects an issue, rebuild the file by following these steps:

  1. From the File menu, choose Utilities and select Rebuild Data.
  2. Select OK in QuickBooks Information window and wait for the tool to repair your file.
  3. Once done, click on OK.

Otherwise, repair QuickBooks to replace all damaged installation files of the software.

  1. Open Control Panel, and click on Programs, then Programs and Features.
  2. Choose Uninstall or change a program.
  3. Select QuickBooks and choose Uninstall/Change.
  4. If prompted, select Continue and Next.
  5. Click Finish and restart your computer.

If the issue persists, completely uninstall or clean install QuickBooks Desktop to replace the system files on your computer.
