You can initiate a subscription upgrade when a new version of QuickBooks is available. A message will appear informing you of this once you open QuickBooks.
Here's how to initiate an upgrade from the message:
- When you're ready, click Upgrade Now.
- Choose Keep old version on my computer if you want to keep your current QuickBooks.
- Hit Let's go.
- The new version will now be downloaded, installed, and activated. Your company file(s) will also be updated.
- When it's finished, select Open QuickBooks.
You can also manually upgrade from the Discovery Hub:
- Access your Discovery Hub, then click Upgrade to QuickBooks 2024.
- Hit Proceed to upgrade and press Upgrade now.
- If you want both versions, pick Keep old version on my computer.
- When the upgrade's completed, select Open QuickBooks.
