Thanks for joining the Community space, @rjlane. We'll supply the information you need about adding clients in QuickBooks Online Accountant (QBOA).

 

In QBOA, you can add clients with existing QBO companies or those who haven't started their QuickBooks journey. Depending on the situation, if your client has their own QBO account, they may have invited you to be their accountant, but you haven't added them to your accounting firm. We'll be happy to input the steps below:

 

  1. Access QuickBooks Online Accountant company.
  2. On the left navigational bar, go to the Clients tab.
  3. Click Add client.
  4. Enter the necessary details.
  5. Once done, click the Save button.

If the issue persists and if you have multiple accounting firms, you'll want to ensure you're using the one associated with the invitation from your clients.
