Hi there, gilesbelfrage.
My main goal is to ensure you'll be added successfully to your clients' books.
Before providing any troubleshooting steps, did you or your clients encounter any error messages when adding you as a user? Sharing additional details will help us determine its cause and provide accurate steps to fix this. A screenshot would be a great help, too.
Since you're unable to add the pictures, make sure they are supported. I've added the types of images you can attach below.
- .jpg/JPG
- .jpeg/JPEG

- Click Reply.
- On the Reply to message page, click the image icon.
- Select the Choose Files button.
- Locate the screenshots you'd like to add, then attach them.

Sorry for the delay iin responding. I responded to the email replly which was a do not reply. It too several days to tell me that in a return email.
I attach two screenshots. I successfully managed to share a comapny on October 28th after being invited by a client but a week ago two more clients invited me and I got the attached error message from each. Please note the two companies displayed are correct but I have a further 11 companies that do not appear on the error message,
I needed to download 2 screenshots

I appreciate you for coming back to the thread and clarifying your issue about accepting an invitation from clients, gilesbelfrage-ic. Let me provide details on how the process works in QuickBooks. I'll also ensure you can accept the invitation without an error message so you can properly handle their books.
When accepting a client's invitation to add you as an accountant, make sure you have the same QuickBooks region as the client. If your clients are using international versions, you also need to utilize it to accept the invitation effectively. Otherwise, you will receive the same error or be required to create a new account because you are using a different country.
I recommend signing up or adding another QuickBooks Online Accountant in the same region as your client's account so you can accept the invitation. Then, make sure your clients send the invitation to the correct email address. It should be the one linked to the user ID you use to sign in and enter the correct information.
Then, once you already see your client’s account listed in the Clients tab, you’re all set to manage their books.
In case you don't want to sign up for another QBOA, you can have your client invite you as the company administrator for you to access their company file. You can provide this article to your clients on how to perform the process: Add and manage users in QuickBooks Online.
Lastly, you can read this article if you need steps on how to clean up client's books and fix incomplete transactions: Review your clients' books in QuickBooks Online Accountant.
If you require additional assistance managing your client's account, you're always welcome to leave them in the comments below. I'm looking forward to helping you further, gilesbelfrage-ic. Have a good one!

Thanks. I have not figured this out yet. My company, Accountancy Tamer, has been successfully invited by about 15 clients in Bermuda. The last client to invite me successfully was Choice Era. I am based in Bermuda, an island 550 miles East of North Carolina. Two clients, ASSL Bermuda and House of Mo Enterprise give this error message and show only two companies on the first screen when I hit accept. There should be about 17 active clients and that is what I see when I use QBO. To my knowledge we set them up as International. I don't know how to fix this. Do these two companies need to be deleted and resubscribed? If so the set up is confusing. It worked for the first company not the second two. How can we subscribe these two companies so I accept the invite and they appear without the error message (like Choice Era)? Regions should not matter surely? We are all your customers. Thanks

Hi there, Giles.
I appreciate you keeping us updated. And I can see the importance of accepting client invitations in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
It appears that you're encountering an error message when trying to accept an invite in QBO due to a regional restriction. This error typically occurs when attempting to connect to a client's QBO company from a different region. To get this fix, you may need to ensure that both you and your client are operating within the same region or jurisdiction as mentioned by my colleague ChristieAnn.
As for your concern, if those two companies need to be deleted and resubscribed, there's no need to do that as long as your clients are using the correct region for QBO.
For future help, you can check out this article to help guide you in managing users: Add and manage users in QuickBooks Online.
If you have further questions about accepting a client invite, let me know by commenting below. I'll be here to lend a hand. Have a great day!

Thank you. It is not enough to say ensure that the companies are in the same region as I don;t know what Choice Era set up method was compared to the other 2 companies I mentioned. I spent a fruitless 90 minutes on the chat folloowed by an email saying the error had been fixed. It had not. I also got the add and manage link twice from two different people. It does not help. What would help is to illustrate the set up process for a new company on QBO so it matches the parameters of Accountancy Tamer and I can get on with serving those two clients. I do not know the "regions" assigned to Accountancy Tamer, Choice Era and the other 2 clients I mentioned. I've wasted a lot of time on this yet have had success up to this year.
