I appreciate you for joining us here in the thread, @Atlantica. I'll take care of your concern so you can get through this and access your company file in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2022.
QuickBooks Desktop has a 3-year life cycle. Upgrading it from 2013 to 2022 may cause data issues due to feature or version differences. To prevent this from happening, you'll want to create a backup copy of your file and restore it to QBDT 2015/2016 and then to 2018/2019, then QuickBooks Desktop 2021. Once done, we'll then proceed to QBDT 2022, then that's it. You can smoothly run your files in the latest version of QuickBooks Desktop.
Feel free to check this article for the steps on how to create a backup file: Back up your QuickBooks Desktop company file.
Once you're done, here's how you can restore it:
- In QuickBooks, go to the File menu and select Open or Restore Company.
- Select Restore a backup copy and then Next.
- Select Local Backup and then Next.
- Browse your computer for your backup company file. It should look like this: [Your company name].qbb.
- Select a folder to decide where to save your restored company file. Then select Open.
