I understand that there isn't a Preferences option for QuickBooks Desktop for Mac, what we can do is to verify and rebuild your company data.
Here's how:
- From the File menu, highlight Utilities.
- Select Verify data.
Once done, rebuild your company data. I'll guide you how:
- From the File menu, highlight Utilities.
- Select Rebuild data.
You can also contact our Technical Support team if you've already tried the steps I provided above and you still have the same issue.
To connect with a representative:
- Go to this link: https://help.quickbooks.intuit.com/en_US/contact.
- Select QuickBooks Mac Desktop.
- Click Company File.
- Scroll down a little bit and click Get Phone Number.
