The ability to truncate Social Security numbers (SSNs) is currently unavailable in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). When processed, QuickBooks automatically generates the Social Security information. Allow me to explain further.

I recommend that you provide feedback to our product developers, so they can consider incorporating this feature in future upgrades. One factor our Engineers take into account when adding a new feature is user demand. To submit your suggestion, please follow these steps:
- Select the Help option.
- Choose the Send Feedback Online option.
- Click the Product Suggestion option, then a pop-up window displays.
- Enter your feedback suggestion.
- Once done, hit the Send Feedback button.
