Welcome to the Community, vtbarber. I appreciate your detailed information.
If you need to fix something on an employee's W-2, it will depend on the payroll service you're using and if your forms have been filed.
Here's some things on W-2 forms that can't be fixed:
- Business Name
- Business address
- Employee address
- Employee prefix (Mr. Mrs., etc.)
Since your automated taxes and forms setting was activated, and Intuit filed W-2s for you, you'll need to contact our Customer Care team to request a correction.
Intuit will fix it if necessary, and file a W-2c form with the SSA. You'll also receive a copy of your W-2c to provide your employee with, and an updated W-3 for record keeping. The agent you speak with can let you know approximately when you and your employee can expect to receive the W-2c and W-3c.
