Why 3-5 business days to get Intuit to change my e-mail address?

Why does it take 3-5 business days to get Intuit to change my e-mail address? I am trying to set up direct deposit for my employees and cannot activate it because Intuit has a very old e-mail address of mine that I do not have access to anymore.

You would think this should be an easy one. I have sent the form they need two times, called several times to get it expedited and nothing.

I'm sure it's a lot of work. They probably have to have a team meeting to discuss it, then rate your request against others in a triage meeting, then assign the task, then test to see if they've done it right, and then write up a report on what they did. Yes, you can't be trusted to do like changing an email address yourself as it's so very complicated.

Some knucklehead from support called me yesterday to "fix" the issue. 90 minutes later we were at the same point and I asked him why did you call me if in the end you knew what the issue was and Intuit had not changed my e-mail address yet (or ever)? Support there is really starting to show me they are very undertrained. The excuse in the end is "we" (aka me) needs to wait 7-10 days again for the "back end" people to fix the issue.

I want the "back end's" job where you do not have to be very efficient to keep your job.

Right. Why change it now when you can do it in a week or two?

Yesterday I uploaded the "secure document" (it's a change of e-mail form) for the 3rd time. Then they said I needed to upload my company file. And now they need another 3-5 days. Unf**kinbelievable.

Remember: THIS IS JUST TO CHANGE MY E-MAIL ON THE ACCOUNT!

Well, you know, it's a very complicated change...
