Thanks for dropping by the Online Community. I’m here to clarify why you’re unable to see the name on the reports.
As mentioned by @Teri, make sure to select a name for it to show on the journal entry. When running a report, you’ll have to click the transaction related to it and it will route you to the Transaction Report.

From there, refine the report to see the actual name whether it’s a customer, vendor or employee. To visually guide you through the process, check out this article: Customize Reports and Email.
To customize:
- Go to Reports on the left panel, then select the report you're working on.
- Double-click on the transaction.
- On the Transaction Report page, click on the Gear icon in the lower right hand.
- Mark the boxes for Customer, Vendor and Employee.
- Click anywhere for the changes to take effect.
