Why has my cursor started making me double click on my invoices?

Thanks for posting here, temanuel.

Let's work together to fix the issue of why you need to double-click on invoices in Quickbooks Online (QBO).

One of the possible reasons why you're having trouble accessing your invoices can be caused by a stored cache and cookies in your browser. I suggest accessing your invoices through a private/incognito window. The private window will not save any history, making it a good place to identify browser problems. Here are the shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If everything works fine using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache or cookies is the best way to get a clean slate for your browser. Otherwise, using other supported browsers can be a good alternative too.

In addition, you can visit this article to learn how you can personalize and add specific info to your invoice and other form styles in QBO: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

Keep me posted if you need anything else about your QBO account. I'm always around here in the Community forum to help.

I am having the exact same problem, thought it was just me. It is slowing me down immensely. I also have to click on "receive payment" at  least 3 times before it will go into the screen to be able receive the payment. Very frustrating. QBO is ridiculously slow too. Hoping these problems are fixed ASAP!!

Hello, Leesa1.

Thanks for joining this conversation. Allow me to chime in and help ensure this is taken care of for you.

If you already followed the steps shared by my colleague above and the issue persists, I highly suggest contacting our Support team. They have tools such as screen-sharing (remote access) that can pull up your account in a secure environment and check the cause of this odd behavior. They can also perform other troubleshooting steps if necessary.

Here's how to reach them:

  1. In QuickBooks Online (QBO), click the Help (question mark) icon at the top right.
  2. Select a suggested option, or type a question or topic you need help with.
  3. Tick Contact Us and choose a way to connect with us.

To check for our Support hours, you can refer to this article: QuickBooks Online Support.

I'll add these articles that tackle managing invoices and receiving payments for more information:

You can also visit our website for more tips and other resources you can use in the future: Self-help articles.

Please leave a comment below if you have additional questions about this or anything else QBO. I'm more than willing to assist. Take care.

Why has my cursor started making me double click on my invoices?

Hi there, temanuel-cityofc.

I appreciate the effort of going through the troubleshooting steps given by my colleague above. As I checked in my resources, there is a reported case about the double-clicking issue for other regions, such as India, ROW, and South Africa.

Since the issue persists, I suggest contacting our Customer Care Team. This way, they can further investigate to find the root cause of this issue and provide a fix. You can follow the steps provided by colleague @Fritz on how to reach them.

I've added this article that you can browse to help you personalize your invoices in QuickBooks Online: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks

Leave a comment below if you have follow-up concerns regarding invoices or other inquiries in QBO. I'll be around to help. Keep safe!
