An overload browser may sometimes cause problems with loading or formatting issues on a website, like missing images or buttons that don't respond when clicked. This also includes errors that you're getting when trying to do some processes in QuickBooks.
You'll want to log in to your account using a private browser (incognito) to check if you're still seeing the error. I've provided the shortcut keys below so you can follow them:
If you're able to use your QuickBooks Online (QBO) without issues, return to your default browser and clear the cache so you'll be able to work with a clean slate. Your cache and extensions are probably interfering with the scripts QuickBooks is trying to run on the page.
However, if you're still experiencing the same, you'll want to switch to a different browser instead.
Furthermore, learn how to add links to invoices so customers can pay you online. I've added this article for more details: Take And Process Payments In QuickBooks Online With QuickBooks Payments.

Fixed mine by editing the customers tax rate to "Based on location" instead of a manually entered sales tax rate.. No more red message and am able to save invoices and estimates.
Thanks for this fix!! I don't know why it works, but changing my clients' tax status to Based on Location allowed me to send all my monthly invoices. Clearly this is some bug that Quickbooks needs to work out. Why allow us to set a client's tax status in their profile if it isn't going to work? But again, thanks so much for having the workaround.
I cannot save or print invoices with this message coming up either. Cleared Cache, changed browser, changed tax to manual entry to automated, changed template. No luck. Everything worked fine a few months ago.
Good afternoon welshlandscapemgmt,
Welcome to the QuickBooks Community! I appreciate your efforts to correct this problem. Quick question: were you able to change your client's tax status to Based on Location, as some users suggested above?
If you have and still experience these issues, please let me know as well. In the meantime, could you try incognito mode and let me know if you still get this error?
I will be looking forward to your reply! See you soon.
This worked for me too, but only after losing 15 minutes worth of work updating an invoice. Very frustrating. Quickbooks has been making changes it doesn't tell users about adding features we don't need or want, while raising prices. Best way to push customers out the door.
