More functionality in QB Time vs Workforce, but store manager unable to access QB Time

Our thrift store implemented Workforce mobile app - the storage manager is able to approve time, do some scheduling, view shifts. But, mobile functionality is limited.
I, an primary admin, was attempting to give the manager permissions to manage Time from desktop browser, but we are finding that there's no way to give custom role to the manager in QBO browser that would allow managing other employees time. The only option related to QB Time is the option to report own time.
We even tried to work around by using the now-obsolete QuickBooks Time ( https://tsheets.intuit.com/), but it gives an error about lack of access to the company.
To summarize:

The user was given Time custom role and is able to access his own time at https://qbo.intuit.com/

The user (an admin in Quickbooks Time) is unable to access company at  ( https://tsheets.intuit.com/).

The user is able to manage others in Workforce app.

More functionality in QB Time vs Workforce, but store manager unable to access QB Time

It sounds like you've been doing a lot of troubleshooting to make the Workforce mobile app and QuickBooks Time roles work for your storage manager, gwmtreas. You'll have to make sure to send or resend an invite to your manager to have an access to company's QuickBooks Time account.

To do so, follow the steps outlined below:

  1. In QuickBooks Time, go to My Team and select a team member to open their details.
  2. In General, select Send invite or Resend invite.

Once your store manager gets the invitation, they can either create a new Intuit account or use an existing one to sign in. Once signed in, they'll be directed to their QuickBooks Time account, where a brief video tutorial will guide them through the basics. Additionally, they’ll receive a welcome email containing extra training resources and helpful information to get started smoothly.

Let me know if you have any other concerns about accessing QuickBooks Time. I'm always around to assist you further. Have a nice day ahead!

More functionality in QB Time vs Workforce, but store manager unable to access QB Time

thank you @MariaSoledadG  but I'm still facing issues.
The user is a store manager and already has all admin permissions in Workforce and is able to use. However, due to limitations of the app (such as unable to view months), the manager would like to use desktop browser. Unfortunately, we are not able to use the "new" Time in QBO (https://qbo.intuit.com/app/time), as there's no way to set the manager's permission to see QBO Time without also giving permission to other areas of QBO.
However, the legacy/old QuickBooks Time (https://tsheets.intuit.com ) seems to be same functionality as the Workforce mobile app. So, we are trying to invite him to the legacy Time. But, he is getting "you don't have access to this company" message at (https://tsheets.intuit.com ).
There's no option for Invite like in your screenshot.

More functionality in QB Time vs Workforce, but store manager unable to access QB Time

I completely understand how important it is for your manager to have the right level of access to effectively oversee your team’s time entries and scheduling, and I appreciate the patience you’ve shown while navigating the complexities between QuickBooks Online, Workforce, and QuickBooks Time.

For now, I recommend inviting your manager with the Track Time Only role in QuickBooks Online, which specifically allows users to enter and view their own timesheets and reports, but not to manage or approve others’ time. This role is only available in QuickBooks Online companies that are not integrated with QuickBooks Time, because once QuickBooks Time is connected, this limited QBO role is automatically removed to avoid conflicts.

I hope this explanation helps clarify why your manager’s access is currently limited and why resending invites or modifying roles in QBO alone cannot resolve the issue. Please know that your efforts to get this right are appreciated, and if you need any assistance, I'll be right here to help. Take care!
