Hi there,

I'm here to help ensure this is taken care of for you.

So that I'm on the same page, may I know which specific beta view you're referring to in your QuickBooks Online (QBO) menu? Any additional information will help me provide the best resolution for your concern.

In the meantime, I recommend visiting our website for tips and other resources you can use in the future: Self-help articles.

I'm looking forward to hearing from you soon!

Thanks for sharing a screenshot of your view concern, @AbodeLLC.

QuickBooks Online (QBO) has two different views (Business view and Accountant view). I've tried switching each view on my sample company file, and it seems that QuickBooks updated the Business view, which results in a new view on the Menus.

If you want to use the old view, you can switch to the Accountant view. To do so, you can go to the Gear icon and select Accountant view. I'll attach screenshots below to see the difference between the two views on my sample company file.

You may also want to know more about each view. You can check out this article: Switch between Business and Accountant view in QuickBooks Online.

Don't hesitate to leave a comment below if you have follow-up questions about these views. I'll be standing by on your response.

The screenshot I sent as for the accountant view. And if you switch to business view, the menu is the same. Is there just no fix? I have 3 companies and it is weird that one of them shows the old view and the other is the new view.

I want to ensure you're able to see the same view for your three companies, @AbodeLLC.

To start, let's perform some troubleshooting steps to fix this. There are times when the browser is full of frequently accessed page resources, which causes some errors or unusual responses. Let's start accessing your account using a different or private browser. You can use either of these shortcut keys:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: Command + Shift + N

Once it shows the same view, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. This is done to speed up the process the next time you do a transaction in QuickBooks Online. Also, an alternative way is to use other compatible browsers.

I have also attached an article that provides information on how money comes in and out of your business: How QuickBooks calculates your cash flow.

Feel free to leave a comment below if you have any other questions about the view in your QBO account. I'm always here to help. Wishing you and your business continued success.

Ctrl + Shift + P on Microsoft Edge just brings up my printer. I will just have to live with this I guess because nothing I look up can tell me why the menu view is now different.
