The option to void the 1099 will show if you received a rejected email from the IRS.
Currently, correcting the 1099 that's already filed is unavailable in QuickBooks Online (QBO). To submit corrected 1099-MISC or 1099-NEC forms, contact the IRS directly to do a manual amendment.

This reply says two contradictory things. This issue really needs to be fixed!
The "void" option showed up today, so I was able to void all our 1099's. Now I just need to figure out how to resubmit them. I don't see any way in Quickbooks to do that.

After voiding and updating the correct information, you can e-file your 1099 forms again as per the usual method. If you have already paid for the initial e-filing, there will be no charges when you resubmit.
Here's how:
Once complete, each contractor will receive a new paper and electronic copy of their 1099 form.
Furthermore, you can print your 1099 forms directly in QBO if you require physical copies for your contractors.
