Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to convert your QuickBooks Desktop company file to QuickBooks Online (QBO), shglegal.

 

Most of the time, converting from Desktop to Online version is quick and easy. However, there are some issues you may encounter during or after conversion. We can resolve this issue by rebuilding the data file and restarting the export process. Here's how: 

  1. In QuickBooks Desktop, select Window.
  2. Tap Close All to close all open windows.
  3. Select File, then Utilities.
  4. Press Verify Data.

If QuickBooks reports a problem, try rebuilding your company data to repair problems/ Let me show you how:  

  1. Go to Window, then select Close All to close all open windows.
  2. Choose File, then select Utilities.
  3. Tap Rebuild data.
  4. If you see the message Rebuild has completed, Continue to verify your rebuilt company data.
  5. Just go to File, then Utilities, and click Verify Data.

If you see the message QuickBooks detected no problems with your data, start the export process again below:

  1. Update QuickBooks to the latest release by going to Help, then select Update QuickBooks.
  2. Close and reopen QuickBooks to install the updates.
  3. Tap Company, then Export Company File to QuickBooks Online.
  4. Follow the onscreen instructions.
