Thanks for the clarification, @jpalombo.

I can share some insights about exporting your invoice and estimate from your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Currently, the option to do so inside QBO is not possible. The Subcontractor can export the pdf of the invoice only. They can export the transaction itself(not the invoice) via the invoices history and the icon to the left of the cog above the word action.

Or they could run a transaction detail report for your business name and export that detail. It would only bring invoice numbers and amounts to the invoice file. We do see this is not ideal or what you need.

The functionality is there for imports from an existing CSV currently only not for exporting directly to a CSV the full invoice.

Your subcontractor could look at third party apps to export that information but we do see that there is cost involved generally for that,

If they did do that we have included how to import the data below

  1. Go to the Gear icon and select Import Data.
  2. Select Invoices.
  3. Under the Browse button, you can add new customers, products, and services (Optional).
  4. Select Browse and then find and select the spreadsheet of your invoices.
  5. Then click Next.

You can also check this article for more detailed steps in importing your invoice: Import multiple invoices at once.

You can always get back to me in case you have other questions in importing your invoices in QBO. I’ll be around to assist you. Have a great day ahead!
