Welcome to the thread, OutdoorAdv.

I'm here to help you with your 1099 printing alignment.

When printing 1099 in QuickBooks, you can only align forms that are purchased directly from Intuit. Thus, if you didn't purchase the form from Intuit, you can't align them as we don't support alignment troubleshooting. You can refer to this article for more details: Order 1099 and 1096 forms.

But if you're using QuickBooks Online-compatible 1099 forms, you can go to the Fine-tune alignment page to adjust your form alignment.

Here's how:

  1. In the left menu, click Expenses.
  2. Go to the Vendors tab.
  3. Select Prepare 1099s, and click on Let's get started/Continue your 1099s.
  4. Review or enter the company name and address and the Tax ID then select Next.
  5. Choose the box for payment types you made and the expense account you use for these payments then select Next.
  6. Review your contractor's information and select Next.
  7. Select Finish preparing 1099s.
  8. Select I'll file myself.
  9. Go through the steps in the Select a form type and print a sample page, then select No, it doesn't line up. This option will direct you to the Fine-tune alignment page where you can make horizontal and vertical adjustments to the form alignment.
  10. Go through the steps in the Select a form type and print page then select Next and Done.

After that, try printing your 1099 and see if it aligns. If not, I'd recommend following the remaining steps from this article: Print your 1099 forms.

Please feel free to reach back out if there's anything else you need help with concerning 1099. I'm always here to help.
