Allow me to share updates about the 1099 NEC form in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). This way, you can file them on time.
Upon checking our sample QBDT account, the 1099 NEC forms are already available. Make sure that your account is in the latest version so that you can print the updated form. Also, this is to ensure you have the latest features and fixes.
Here's how:
- When you open QuickBooks, you'll get a message about upgrading your account.
- Select Upgrade Now.
- Pick Keep old version on my computer if you want to keep your current QuickBooks.
- Click Let's go and choose Open QuickBooks.

Once complete, recheck the form if it's already available on your side. If you already see it, you will now be able to print and file the form.
