 Thank you for your first post, Kavish. I'll show you how to create a VAT return for August 1, 2022, to September 30, 2022.

 

You can prepare your return for this period by following these steps:

 

  1. Open QuickBooks.
  2. Click on VAT, then select All Returns from the filter dropdown.
  3. Look for the return from the lists, then click on Prepare return under Action.
  4. Set the Filing periodStart dateEnd date, and Filing date.
  5. Review the details, then click on Mark as filed when ready.

If the return is not available, you may create an expense transaction instead. Make sure to use the correct posting accounts to publish your entry accordingly. If you need to, you can seek help from an accountant for additional help.
