I love that your'e following up on this and I can see it's still an important feature for you. The tool to submit feedback is a one-way communication portal, which is why you haven't gotten any follow up about it. These sorts of updates can be implemented in patch updates to the program or are sometimes released in the newest versions of the program.
To make sure that you're keeping up with patch releases for your version of QuickBooks Desktop, you can either manually put the updates through or set them to go automatically. Here's how to do both of those.
- Go to Help in product.
- Choose Update QuickBooks Desktop.
- Navigate to the Options tab to choose your update setup.
- Click the Update Now tab to see what updates are waiting for you.
- Hit Close when done.

For these sorts of scenarios, it's mostly about keeping an eye on the program to see what updates are made.
