this is rediculous now... it looks like its been 5 years with this same question being asked and still there is NO SOLUTION.  I have that very issue.  we are a nonprofit ... we must acknowledge our donors generosity with a DONATION RECIEPT. the sales reciept is completely wrong for this purpose.  for example abover the donors name it say "BILL TO:"  we cannot have that on a donation reciept.  on QB desktop I could completely design a reciept to exactly what I needed.  How hard can it possible be to create a form that includes some customization for us to use like desktop used to have... at least all we need is the words BILL TO to be ELLIMINATED. and we need to be able to create a paragraph that looks nice like a letter or memo thanking them for the donation ... I am attatching a picture of the one I created in ~QB desktop... it was completely automated all I had to do was enter the transaction for that donor and hit print sales reciept and it printed this.... why cant you create this ability in QBO?  and PLEASE do not tell me to file the "suggestion" with your design team we all know that is ignored and anyway that is YOUR job... YOU let them know this is an issue and it is frustrating many many users who are nonprofits...
