our organization ended up having accounting transactions in two separate quickbooks online companies in two different user accounts. we are trying to merge them into a single company account owned by a single person. i have quickbooks online with some of the transactions and i have an exported general ledger report exported to excell with all the additional transactions that i need to merge into the existing quickbooks online account. i have gone through the excel data and changed all the account names in it so that they are consistent with the ones in the existing quickbook online chart of accounts. is there a way that i can import this data from excel to quickbooks online en mass? all that i have read seems to say that i can only import from a csv file one account at a time. the excel file was created via a quickbooks general ledger export function so it has date fields such as vendor, description, check number, etc. i would like to save all this data. this excel file is all i have. i do not have access to this date on the actual quickbooks online account that it was created on. let's just say to owner of that quickbooks account resigned and is not being cooperative. i was able to get that general ledger export file in excel.
