The Ageing Receivables report is designed to display open (unpaid) invoices and outstanding balances, Rebecca. If a credit note has been applied to an invoice, it will no longer appear in the report.

Since your report is still showing 10,000 instead of the adjusted balance of 9,000, it’s likely that the credit note hasn’t been created or hasn’t been applied to the invoice.

To check whether the credit note has been applied to an invoice, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Sales menu and select Customer.
  2. Find the customer’s name in the list, and review their transactions. Look under the Type column to locate the credit note.
  3. In the Status column, verify whether the credit note has been applied to an invoice or remains unapplied.
