I'm here to ensure you'll be able to customize your report seamlessly, @BSBbkkbtax.

This may be a browser issue. To fix this, we can access your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account in an incognito browser and drag the columns again. This will give you a fresh start and errors held in cache or cookies will no longer apply. Below are the shortcut keys for the private browser you can use:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox and Microsoft Edge: press Ctrl + Shift + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

Once signed in, customise the report again. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Reports menu.
  2. Scroll down to the For My Accountant sections and select General Ledger.
  3. Once opened, click the Customise button.
  4. Then, proceed to the Rows/Columns field.
  5. From there, change the order of the columns by dragging the square icon beside them.
  6. When finished, select Run report

If this works, I'd suggest clearing the cache of your regular browser. This will refresh website preferences that might be causing problems when you use QBO. If the same thing happens, you can use other supported browsers to access your QBO account. It could be that the one you're currently using has a temporary issue with QuickBooks.

You can also save the customisation so you can apply the same format in the future. To do so, simply click the Save customisation button.

If you have any other questions about customising your report in QBO, feel free to post here again. I'm always around in the Community to assist you further. Have a good one.
