I hear your sentiments about turning off the advertisement messages in QuickBooks Online (QBO). I can also see the inconvenience this has caused you and how they're affecting your productivity. But please know I'm here taking note of your comments. This way, we can improve the program for a better navigation experience. 

In the meantime, I'd still suggest selecting the X sign or the No thanks button to manually close the ads. Also, you can check out our Firm of the Future site, so you're able to keep track of our product updates. I want to make sure that you get back to your business.

Since you're also using the QBO app on the iPad, I recommend visiting this article: Mobile App Overview. It shows you a comparison chart between the features available on supported mobile devices. Just go to the iPad section.
