I agree. Shame on Intuit.  I just had a letter returned (a check to a vendor) because the address sits so high on the checks, if it moves in the envelope even the slightest, the address is "out of view". And I use "Quickbooks Compatible Envelopes". The only workaround I found was to go to the edit vendor's info / Address Info (opening tab) / Address Details / Bill from: And enter a hard return (blank line) as the first line in the vendor's address.  This pushed the address down, on the check, where it was more centered in the window.  Note to Intuit.  This is not a minor nuisance.  Printing checks, specifically payroll checks, properly IS A BIG DEAL.  If you already have to code to customize an Invoice than adding that feature to the check template is something that you could do in a day.  You clearly don't want to and prefer to hold your loyal, repeat customers hostage over a couple of dollars in made in "proprietary" formats.  SHAME!
