Helping you is our top priority, @BobbyJ.

I appreciate you getting back to us and providing a screenshot regarding your concern. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps so you can change the name of the imported bank deposit.

Before we start, please know that QuickBooks is only dependent on the information on what you've imported or your bank provided. Also, did you received an error message when changing the name of the bank deposit? Any additional information or screenshot would be greatly appreciated.

To check if it's a data issue, let's run the Verify and Rebuild Utility tools to get this fixed. It's a good start when it comes to fixing data-related issues.

To run the Verify Data utility:

  1. Click the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities
  3. Click Verify Data
  4. If there are issues found, you’ll be prompted to Rebuild Now

Here’s how to run the Rebuild utility:

  1. Click the File menu.
  2. Select Utilities
  3. Choose Rebuild Data
  4. Click Ok on Rebuild has completed.

After verifying and rebuilding the data, go back and try to change the name of your imported bank deposit.

If the issue persists, you can read this article for additional troubleshooting steps: Fix data damage on your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

Keep in touch if you need further assistance with this, or if there's anything else I can do for you. I've got your back. Have a good day.
