The QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) 2019 is still a supported version, therefore you don't need to upgrade to 2020 to use this feature.

To isolate this, let's use Secure Webmail for an easier and safer connection to your email provider. Here's how:

  1. In QBDT, go to the Edit menu to get to the Preferences
  2. Choose the Send Forms in the left pane and select Web Mail.
  3.  Click the Add option at the bottom, then pick the provider from the drop-down and enter your email address.
  4. Ensure that the Use Enhanced Security checkbox is checked.
  5. Click OK.
  6. When prompted, sign in to your Intuit account.
  7. Your webmail provider's login page will display. Sign in and choose to grant Intuit access.

For further guidance with the process, consider checking out this article: Connect your email to QuickBooks Desktop.
