QBO is already set to integrate to several applications, eparker1.

Each of these application has their own way of integration. Others might perform the way you wanted and others might not. 

Since QuickBooks is the receiving end, you might want to reach out to the third-party app where inventories are initiated. They can surely take note of your feature requests and feedback.
